Who is Double M?
Double M Films is a privately held company based in London dedicated to making independent films. It was set up by brothers Marcus and Andrew Markou.
Marcus Markou
Marcus trained as an actor at LAMDA. He has written two plays - Age-Sex-Location (Riverside Studios 2004) and Ordinary Dreams; Or How to Survive a Meltdown with Flair (Trafalgar Studios 2009). He was described by the Sunday Telegraph as "a new and, more excitingly, good playwright". He attended Met Film School and in 2010 he made his first short film - The Last Temptation of Chris, which continues to win plaudits. Papadopoulos & Sons is his first feature length film.
Andrew Markou
Andrew is an internet entrepreneur and the founder of Dynamis Plc, one of the UK's leading B2B online classified advertising publishers. He has been instrumental in overseeing the technical development of some of the world's most successful B2B classified advertising websites including BusinessesForSale.com, the leading site for buying and selling businesses globally and FranchiseSales.com - the UK's leading franchise recruitment portal.
Papadopoulos & Sons
Papadopoulos & Sons is a British independent film completed in 2012. It was screened at festivals including Dinard, Palm Springs and Thessaloniki (where it won the audience award) before being released in Greece in December 2012. The film was released in the UK in April 2013 and is scheduled for release in Germany at the end of June 2013.
The Last Temptation of Chris
Marcus Markou’s short film, The Last Temptation of Chris, with Ed Stoppard, was made in 2010 and has been popular with festivals and online social.
